Aerial Classes
Lyra/Aerial Hoop (All Levels)
Beginners will work on proper engagement, mounts, and on the hoop skills and transitions. Intermediate students will work on heavier conditioning, harder skills and transitions, momentum, flares, spins, and on-the-spanset moves. Everyone will be challenged at the level of strength and skill they are at. We recommend Private Lessons for 1st timers that want 1-on-1 attention to familiarize themselves with engagement, vocabulary and the apparatus before joining a class. Or jump on in!
Silks 1
As featured in 417 Magazine, KY3 and Ozarks First News, Aerial Silks is the coolest fitness class in town!
In Level 1 we focus on conditioning on the ground and in the air, develop flexibility, build overall body strength and lay the foundation to become an aerial dancer! We explore basic climbs, foot locks, hip keys, and other foundational skills that will train us to move our body in the air with control, strength and confidence.
Don't worry, all skills are taught close to the ground. This class is designed for the complete beginner wanting to try a fun workout. No upper body strength, flexibility or coordination is required. We will develop that together! You should expect to be in this class for several months until you get instructor approval to transition to Silks 2.
Silks 2/3
Climbs, gemini, triangle wrap, s-wrap, z wrap, momentum, belays, drops and progressions for all will be explored according to each person's level. Aerial theory, friction management, creative transitioning, sequence creation, choreographic exploration, and mastery of aerial content of all levels.
Prereqs: Must have a solid climb, hip key and footlocks in the air. Must be ready to train invert climbs.
Silk Rental Fee:
A $20/mo silk rental fee will be charged in person in your first class. This guarantees that each person gets their own silk and there is no apparatus sharing. Please sign up ahead of time to give instructor time to rig your silks. Silk availability is not guaranteed.
