Circus Kids Levels 1 & 2
Now Enrolling
Spring Semester 1 (1/8-3/4) & Spring Semester 2 (3/18-5/13)
Circus Kids classes are perfect for kids age 6-12 years old.
Beginner kids will be working to develop their strength and engagement as they learn basic skills, wraps, hangs, and easy sequences on aerial sling. Advanced kids will be learning climbs, longer sequences, inverts, drops and more!
After warming up, we split into 2-3 groups with separate instructors according to level.
We focus on learning proper engagement, beautiful transitions and cool sequencing on our apparatuses.
We also work on flexibility, full body strengthening, and hand balancing in all of our classes. This is holistic training for our aerial athletes rather than quick, sloppy and dangerous tricking. Please join us!
Every child is different so we will be working on skill progressions that are tailored to each individual.
Please have them wash their hands before and after class. We also ask that parents stay in their cars until the last 10-15 mins or when class is done since we don't have a waiting area.
Cost: $200 per Spring Session, $170 for each additional sibling*
*We are increasing the Family Discount to 15% in order to accommodate our new 9 week session format.
Enroll the first family member and then DM us to get an invoice for 15% off each additional family member. Adults count too, so message us if you are also taking classes ;)
No Pre-reqs. Complete beginners welcome!
Our program has been running for 7 years and has developed mesmerizing, complex artists that are now part of our paid, professional performing company.
Our classes are taught by 3-4 instructors with 3+ years of teaching experience that have gone through the Circus Arts Institute teacher training program as well as our own intensive training program. All are required to continue attending professional training programs outside of our studio to keep developing their knowledge base.
Why change from 4 week sessions?
Overbooking. We will offer two enrollments in Spring in hopes of streamlining the process. Spots are first come, first served, so please book early.

Intro/Beginner Aerial Sling
This is usually the easiest apparatus to start building aerial fabric strength. This 4-week sling series is perfect for anyone new to sling, or returning to sling! We begin with a warm-up, condition and strengthen the body specific to aerial, and explore standing and low aerial sling flow. The instructor will give modifications to students specific to their experience level and where the body is currently at, so please come as you are!
No pre-requisites. Complete newcomers welcome! (Under "Workshops")
Intermediate Sling
Expand your sling vocabulary and build on the basics learned in Intro to Sling. We will be working on standing skills, rolls, beats, inverts, flares, creating tension and space along the loop, threading, level appropriate drops and long sequencing. Lots of silk theory! IMPORTANT: If this is your first class of the night, please come in 15-20 minutes early to do a full aerial warm up on your own. Since this is an intermediate level class, you are expected to already know how to warm yourself properly. Class starts with on the sling drills after the pole girls change back into aerial pants and runs 45 mins.
Prerequisites: You must take Intro/Beginner sling. You MAY substitute beginner sling with 6 months of silks or 1 year of lyra experience.
Lyra/Aerial Hoop & Dance Trapeze (Int/Adv)
** Complete Beginners must take several months of Intro to Aerial classes or take private lessons before joining to familiarize themselves with engagement, vocabulary and the apparatus before joining a class!! **
While this class is multi-level, you *must* have a certain level of familiarity with the apparatus. Beginners will work on drilling mounts, learning positions on the apparatus, and working on linking movements into beginner sequences. Int/Adv students will work on heavier conditioning, complex skills, strength based transitions, momentum, flares, spins, and on-the spanset/rope moves.
Open Level Silks & Sling - Intro to Advanced
Hardy first timers welcome. In this multi level class we will be working on level appropriate drills & conditioning followed by individual group instruction and assignments. Aerial theory, creative transitioning, sequence creation, choreographic exploration, drops and mastery of aerial content of all levels - this class is designed to challenge each student at the level they are flying at. This is good for the type of person that is okay following assignments given specifically to them while other people in class work on much higher level skills. Good body awareness, some movement experience and independent learning style are recommended since this class is not specifically tailored for Intro students.
No pre-requisites.
